Consider/Approve Recommendations from Textbook Adoption Committee

Background Information:

The Obion County Textbook Adoption Committees being duly appointed by the Board at its October 2016 meeting and having met all requirements of the State, have completed their adoption process for textbooks and make the following recommendations as set forth on the attached documents:

Transportation, Distribution, Logistics
Architecture & Construction
Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources
Health Science


These textbooks are recommended for a six-year cycle beginning with the 2016 – 2017 school year. The System must file a Certification of Adoption by the Local Board of Education with the State Department of Education prior to April 15, 2017.

Staff Recommendation:

Based on this Committee’s recommendations, I recommend adoption of the above-noted textbooks for a six-year cycle beginning with the 2017 – 2018 school year.
